A general view of Stockton High Street, seen from the top of the Town Hall, including No.131, High Street, E.Cowley watchmaker, J. Mallabys Market Cafe Temperance Hotel at No.2, Dovecot Street, the Victoria Buildings and the Parish Church (built 1710-12). The Victoria Buildings (on the mid right of the photograph) were built 1896 on the site of the Alms Houses of 1662 and 1816. The Victoria buildings were demolished in 1964 to make way for Lindsay House. Postcard c1900.
