Geese on the way to market, Stockton High Street

s280A gaggle of geese on their way to market, going past the Borough Hall on Stockton High Street c1900.

The Borough Hall was built as a town house for Mr R.Dickson in c1785, in 1852 it became the Borough Offices and a hall was built at the rear. The hall was demolished in c1957, the new Stockton Post Office was then built on the site and opened in c1960.
