I just found a whale tooth in my granny’s belongings. I cannot put a photo on here.
It states, ‘Southern Georgia, Southern Venturer, Whaling Expedition,Antarctic 1945-46’

My father was aboard the Southern Venturer in 1948. He was an upper saloon boy. He worked with a Norwegian boy called Fritz. They gave the crew English and Norwegian lessons. They were the youngest lads aboard.
