This sight of the closed in corridors next to the classroom, brings a tear my eye, when I remember my time at Richard Hind 1954-59. The rainy days when we were all crowded into the corridors and “told no running at all”.
Then those occasional times, when I was alone in the corridor, walking from the classroom, to Mr Rosser’s office, to get the cane for some stupid misdeed. Only some teachers, apart from him, he being the headmaster, where allowed, or perhaps designed to use it.
Brings back memories I was at Richard Hind Secondary Technical School before it joined with Newham Grange
It was 3 years before comprehensives. Mr John Morley headmaster.

Would that be the same John James who sat next to me on the back row reading the Jackie mag in the geography class with George Kear?
