Unknown group of men

t11208David & Louise Amende aquired this photo from an antiques shop in Stokesley a couple of years ago. It’s 12” x 16” and there’s a date of April 24th 1900 written on the back in pencil. David and Louise are intrigued to find out what this group photo represents. Are they all staff at a company? Members of a club? Sportsmen? Is the photo taken locally? Does any one recognise the building? There is what looks like notice boards behind the men. One of these to the left of the drainpipe has the words, ”Newport Iron…” visible. Could it be at the Newport Iron Works? There’s one chap in the centre without a hat, all the others are wearing something on their heads. Is this significant?
