Stockton Windlass

These pictures are of a windlass, as the detail shows, made at R. Roger’s manufactory (or foundry) of Stockton on Tees. They made machinery in the 1850’s. This one was found in a small castle at ZEIST in the Netherlands by Johnny Nuttin.  Can anyone add anything to the story?
