  1. Date 4th July, 1976. Class 5 4767 hauled the train between Newcastle and Stockton in both directions with a diesel between Stockton and York and then another steam engine for the York – Scarborough leg.


    • Lovely to see all of the spotters along the side of the railway line and on the pedestrian bridge. They obviously knew that something special was coming.
