  1. My sister, Joan, was an ICI employee in the war era, working in a drafting office as a tracer. Her work created the reproducible media for newly drawn plans to be copied ad finitum. By the time 1960 came around though, she had been courted by Clifford, an ICI trained mechanical engineer, married, and moved south into Essex. Our mother’s wedding outfit was on display at Preston Hall for some years via a mannequin in a glass case, exhibiting the mode prevalent in the years after WW One.
