  1. Hi Do you have any pictures of a house on junction road? Blakeston house next door to Blakeston cottage? Its my mother in laws house and she would love to get some pictures or information about this house. Thanks


  2. In Finkle Street there was a printers called Bakers where my brother served his apprenticeship in the early 1950s. In the background of this photo you can see Head Wrightsons where I served my apprenticeship in the late 1950s. My brother, Ian, died in 1992 and I now live in Epsom in Surrey but remember Finkle Street with Clinkards on one corner, the Yorkshire Penny Bank on the other and a steep slope that lead to the wharf with cranes, ships and goods trains. So exciting for a boy.
