  1. You are right, Carol – the Beatles were there that night – I went home to TV programmes being interrupted to advise Kennedy’s assassination. There were hundreds outside the back of the Globe, pre present modernisation then of course, and I remember a police horse being used to calm down some rowdy elements of the crowd, which succeeded – face to face with a majestic and large white horse with large hooves concentrated their rowdiness wonderfully!

  2. Cliff & the Shadows appeared at the Globe whilst they were there rehearsed a new number which became known as “Stars fell on Stockton”. As a youngster I attended Saturday morning pictures
    and became an ABC Minor singing our song at the beginning of the show Happy Days eh!!!!!
