  1. In the 1980s I used to go in the shop next door – Perfecto’s, to get my home brew beer kits. It was one pokey little old fashioned shop but it was an Aladdin’s cave of home brew kits stacked on all the shelves. This shop seemed as though it had been selling this stuff long before it became popular. The old guy there was selling home brew in tins with his own ‘perfecto’ name on the label and they were cheaper than the high street type shops who sold them. He sold everything you could possibly need to do with home brewing and he was always ready to give you advice on how to achieve the best results. I’m not sure if the shop made it into the 90s. Probably closed down by then.

  2. No 27. West Row. Currently a barbers shop, between Ship Inn Yard and Hambletonian Yard. Wonder what the sign above the door in the middle of the picture said? it leads to an enclosed yard.
